myairops and Spire Global enjoy a strategic data partnership that continues to be strengthened with the integration of Spire Weather data into myairops’ aviation software. Previously using Spire’s global aviation data to drive efficiency and automation in the industry, myairops is enhancing its myairops flight product with additional situational awareness and data insights to provide its customers with a decisive advantage.
Utilizing Spire’s Point Optimized Forecast covering global airports, myairops’ customers will be automatically notified when weather conditions are outside the operators defined minima and supply the latest forecast information directly within the platform. . Taking into account both natural and man-made variables at each specific airport, myairops will access AI-powered accurate location-specific weather forecasts as input into their leading aviation platform.
“Building on our existing strategic relationship with Spire was the natural choice following our successful integration of their satellite-based ADS-B tracking data, which our customers have used to automate flight following and improve other operational aspects which rely on accurate location data.” Says Tim Ford, President and Managing Director, myairops. “Through the use of Spire’s AI-powered weather forecast capability, we will shortly be offering our customers fully integrated weather within our platform. This will enable further automation to provide our customers with further operational efficiencies, as well as powering our weather-based data dashboards and map overlays.”
“Airports are a critical cog in the logistics sphere and exert a significant bearing on the global supply network, which is highly interconnected. A weather-related delay at one airport may require subsequent players to adjust their operations and create a ripple effect of delays.” says Mike Eilts, General Manager of Weather and Earth Intelligence, Spire. “Spire Weather is proud to equip aviation tech leaders such as myairops with reliable, location-specific optimized weather forecasts to ensure the smooth delivery of operations”
